NEW SIGHTING: Matthew McConaughey in nearby Walker County

If you can’t get enough Matthew McConaughey sightings in the Greater Birmingham Area, we have a brand new one for you! According to the Daily Mountain Eagle, the actor is currently filming his upcoming movie The Rivals of Amziah King in nearby Walker County. But, he’s not the only famous actor on set. Read on for the scoop.

Filming in Jasper

Mark the date and the place, film buffs and McConaughey fans—filming for the crime thriller The Rivals of Amziah King is happening today, July 25 at Camp O’Rear in Jasper. The staging location? Freedom Assembly of God.

The cherry on top? Church officials told the Daily Mountain Eagle that famous actor Kurt Russell will also be in Jasper filming scenes for the movie this week.
