1. Beginner Bellydance

Raise your elbows to the sun and learn how to bellydance with Ash. This low-impact dance will guarantee to boost your confidence while also helping you tone your muscles. Interested? All you need are soft ballet shoes or your bare feet and a body! Ages 12 and up can sign up for these dance classes but those under 18 must have an adult register them.

2. Pole Dancing PYT

If you’re looking for a way to have fun while also getting a workout, head to PYT. This pole dancing studio was founded by Niya Jackson in 2009. Just last week, I took an intro class that lasted an hour and I promise you it’s worth it. You’re usually partnered with someone who helps you master the moves so you don’t look like a mess.

3. Pole Dancing | Studio Steel

Whether you want to take a group class or a private lesson, Studio Steel offers pole dance classes for Birmingham residents interested in learning. If you’re 18 or older, then you can sign up for any one of the classes they offer. Dance away and drink plenty of water.

For all that jazz, sign up for an adult tap class with The Dance Foundation in Birmingham. You’ll appreciate that they offer beginning and intermediate classes. They also offer dance classes including adult ballet if that’s more your style.
