School is almost out, which means it’s time to look for ways to entertain your kids for the summer. In no particular order, we’ve gathered some of the best Vacation Bible Schools in Birmingham you’ll want to look into. Keep reading for all the details.

1. Asbury United Methodist

Your kids will become mini chefs at Asbury United Methodist’s Food Truck VBS. They’ll get to make food, crafts and music while learning biblical stories.

Three-year-olds through 4th-graders are invited to attend.

2. Faith Church Midfield

Lift your voices and spirits for Faith Church Midfield’s VBS. This event is filled with creative brains that will have your kid singing the songs for days. RSVP on Facebook.

3. St. Mary’s on the Highlands

It’s Christmas in June at St. Mary’s. This year’s theme will be “Candles, Crèche, Camels…Christmas!” Older kids will gain community service, lessons that they can take with them for the rest of their life.

4. Redeemer Community Church

Redeemer Community Church’s Vacation Bible School theme teaches kids how to Make Waves with the lessons from the gospel. There will be tons of beach decor and crafts that will entertain your kids while also learning important life skills like kindness and faith.

Redeemer is accepting kids going into kindergarten all the way to sixth grade. If you have a kid that will be starting kindergarten, they are welcome, but they must be 4 years old before 9/1/2022.

5. Created for a Purpose

Created for a Purpose is Homewood Community Church’s week-long ministry that teaches 3rd-8th grade girls about Jesus through art and comprehensive curriculums. It’s a week-long that focuses on building relationships in the community.

Various churches are hosting this group around Birmingham such as Homewood Community Church and Covenant Presbyterian Church.

6. Highlands United Methodist Church

Highlands United Methodist Church is bringing people together with the power of church. Kids who were in pre-K to fifth grade in the 2021-22 school year are welcome to this Vacation Bible School.

7. All Saints Episcopal Church

Join All Saints for music, crafts and fun for the most memorable Vacation Bible School experience.

You can register up to three children from ages four to rising sixth graders.

8. Vestavia Hills Baptist Church

Let us give thanks for our daily bread at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School. All rising first graders through rising 6th grades are welcome. Families are invited for lunch after each day!

9. Dawson Memorial Baptist Church

Join Dawson for their BIG art camp where children can learn to be creative and kind. There are no skills required. This is meant to be a fun opportunity for kids to express themselves.

Those who have completed first through fifth grade are welcome.

10. Trinity United Methodist

This Vacation Bible School is free for kids entering 4k to rising sixth graders. Step into the wild world of faith-based learning.

11. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

Embark on a fascinating journey to ancient Rome with St. Luke’s. Children will learn about Paul’s teachings as he traveled through the desert.

12. Metropolitan Church

Metrokids presents anchored, a Finding Nemo-themed VBS. Kids ages 4K-5th Grade are invited.

13. Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church

For a fun and unique VBS, visit Saint Stephen’s for a food truck party. Families are invited to a dinner at 5PM, then the kids will be able to attend the program that starts at 6pm.

All rising 4K to 6th graders are invited to join.

14. Pell City First United Methodist Church

Join Pell City First United Methodist for a free VBS program and food truck dinners.

15. Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church

This year’s theme is Monumental and will be jam-packed with spiritual games, crafts, worship and fun.

Register your child if they’re in the age range from rising K5 to sixth grade. It’s free!

Celebrate New Creation with Briarwood Presbyterian Church. The event is free and filled with so many activities for the ultimate fun.

Come down to Prince of Peace Catholic Church to celebrate Monumental, a commemoration of faith. They’re inviting children as young as K3 as long as they’re potty-trained.
