2. Burnette Farms Market & Café
Support a local, longstanding family business—Burnette Farms is a fourth generation family farm! Their Pelham storefront sells fresh produce from the farm, along with specialty items in the café.

5. Ross Bridge Farmer’s Market
Ross Bridge Farmer’s Market is a must-visit for those looking to experience some of Birmingham’s best produce and most popular treats. They also feature art from local artists as well as things like handmade candles and home decor.

6. West Homewood Farmer’s Market
Every Tuesday evening in June and July and the first Tuesday in August, you’ll find us at the West Homewood Farmer’s Market. The feel-good community event is dedicated to “feeding both the tummy and the soul” of those that attend. Home to food trucks, local vendors and more, it’ll be your new summer go-to.

7. Live HealthSmart Alabama Mobile Market
Mobile Markets bring affordable, fresh food straight to neighborhoods at great prices. The trend has been growing in popularity across the country and we now have one in Birmingham, too. The Live HealthSmart Mobile Market brings fresh food to multiple Birmingham communities, including Norwood, Fountain Heights, Tarrant and Bessemer. 8. Alabama Farmer’s Market
This long-standing market has been supporting our state’s farmers for over 100 years! The year-round market is open seven days a week, and hosts vendors from across the state. Their website also has a helpful tool to educate customers on what is currently in season, so you can plan your shopping before heading to the market.

9. East Lake Farmer’s Market
The East Lake Farmer’s Market is a program of P.E.E.R. Inc., developed in 2005 to combat the limited access to fresh food and other resources for healthy living in South East Lake. Head to the market for plenty of delicious fruits and vegetables, plus baked goods and more. They also offer regular health screenings, children’s activities AND have a mobile market of their own.

11. The MarketPlace at Lee Branch
Head to the MarketPlace at Lee Branch for Alabama fruits, vegetables, meat, honey and more. The “rain or shine” market takes place on Saturday mornings from late April to August each year.

13. Murphree’s Market & Garden Center
Open year-round, this Vestavia Hills storefront boasts an impressive selection of plants, plus plenty of seasonal produce. Locals flock to Murphree’s for strawberries and peaches each year. The family-owned biz celebrates their 45th anniversary this year, so be sure to swing by and help them celebrate!

14. Birdsong Farmer’s Market
You’ll find this Saturday morning market right outside Automatic Seafood and Oysters. Local farmers set up shop and bring their finest—from muffins and eggs to fresh vegetables.

15. Yellow Hammer Farms
Let’s welcome another indoor hydroponic farm to the list! Yellow Hammer Farms is the newest downtown farm growing everything from kale and lettuce to fresh herbs. How adorable are those “teenage” Georgia Collards? Head their way to stock up on some fresh veggies.

16. Vestavia Hills Farmer’s Market
Fans of the Vestavia Hills Farmer’s Market are on the edge of their seat as they await the final vendor list, anticipated to be released on their Facebook page soon. Popular past vendors include sno balls, specialty coffee, fruits, vegetables and more. The Wednesday market begins on May 4 and will run weekly through August 28, from 10AM-1PM.

17. Bessemer Farmer’s Market
The Bessemer Farmer’s Market prides itself on showcasing socially disadvantaged farmers, which they define as poor farmers, farmers of color and women farmers. They’ll open for the season on April 16, and opening day will feature live music and (of course) plenty of delicious treats! Keep an eye on their Facebook for more details.

18. Helena Market Days
Happening every Saturday from the first weekend in June through the last weekend in August, Helena Market Days features local farmers and producers selling fresh vegetables, flowers, honey, bread, jams, jellies, baked goods and much more. Each week, they also highlight a different non-profit for fundraising and mission awareness purposes.

19. Hueytown Harvest
Hueytown Harvest is a Certified Alabama Farmer’s Market taking place on Saturdays from 8AM—Noon, March—August 2022. Take a peek at their 2022 vendors and you’ll find everything from local artisans to brunch food, meats, desserts and more.
They also offer free yoga at 9AM, cooking demonstrations with tasty samples at 10AM, and free hands-on crafts for children (on most Saturdays) from 9-11AM. Talk about having something for everyone!
