Munchie’s on 5th is bringing the fun back to this former gas station on Fifth Ave. Owner and local entrepreneur, Chris Hollamon, scooped up the space with a tip from a friend and has made it his very own. Munchie’s officially had its opening debut on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13, and has been serving up Munch Punches (a beverage made with Deep Eddy Peach, Peach Syrup, Sour and Sprite) ever since.

However, like the name, Munchie’s isn’t limited to just drinks. Hollamon says that they serve up a mean hamburger along with good bar food. They also understood the assignment with a weekend brunch menu consisting of Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits and breakfast sandwich specials.

3. Brock’s Gap Brewing Co. | Hoover

We have our eyes on the Going Going Blonde, a pale American blonde ale inspired by their neighbors at the Hoover Met. Tell us what you’re trying first, Bham! We’ll take all of the recommendations.
