Naughty but Nice Kettle Corn is one of Birmingham’s favorite snacks. They have fresh kettle corn with a huge variety of flavors. The great thing about NBNKC is that their popcorn is hand-crafted and delivered directly to the consumer—building a relationship between the business and the city.

Owners Tanesha Sims-Summers and Clem Summers prefers this direct deliver because their focus is serving the Birmingham community.

“I have learned to really depend on my community. At NBNKC, we are very community oriented and driven, meaning a lot of what we do and make circulates back into our community to help it continue to grow and thrive.”

Tanesha Sims-Summers, Co-Owner, Naughty but Nice Kettle Corn Co.

They have been serving this sweet treat to the Magic City for seven years. Sims-Summers wanted to make the world a sweeter place and she’s making her impact through entrepreneurship

NBNKC has several original flavors that include:

  • Bham Mix
  • Sweet & Salty
  • Green Apple Pie
  • Cheddar Makes It Better
  • French Toast
  • Strawberry Vanilla
  • Salted Caramel Crunch
  • Jalapeño Popper

NBNKC offers special delivery in four methods, pickup, local delivery, U.S. shipping and Ms. Poppy. Who is Ms. Poppy? I’m glad you asked. Ms. Poppy is NBNKC’s food truck, so you can catch them on the streets of Birmingham or at their storefront in Woodlawn. I asked Sims-Summers why she chose Woodlawn as the home for her business. Here’s what she said:

“Birmingham is our home and the historic Woodlawn community just made sense to us. Our children started to attend school in the area during the pandemic after years of homeschooling. Woodlawn is extremely intentional with the support of the community and small businesses and we love the diversity on all levels. We wanted to be a part of the growth and development in the area and offer the community a unique snack food option.”
