What to expect—from an OTF new member 💪
I chatted with Seth, a new member at Orangetheory‘s Trussville location, fresh off his morning workout. He has been a member for about a month and remembers what has always stood out from day one—the community.
In fact, head coach Jonathan has been right by his side since the beginning…literally. Seth spent his first class running, lifting and rowing alongside Jonathan as he took the class with the first-timer.
Seth shares that this motivation and community atmosphere hooked him on day one, and he’s only gotten stronger since.

Seth has never particularly enjoyed running (#relatable). And although he worked out regularly on his own, he did not feel as though he was a particularly strong runner.
If you know anything about Orangetheory, you’ll know that you spend a solid chunk of any class on a treadmill. Of course, that can be a bit of a deterrent if you’re like Seth and don’t love to run.
Non-runners everywhere will be thrilled to hear that Seth has improved his form and stamina in just one month, and continues to surprise himself. He credits the hands-on coaching.

Although these goals don’t look the same for everyone, the team’s always got your back.
“Whatever your goal is, these classes will get you there. Whether it’s to get lean, gain muscle or lose fat, you’re going to accomplish those things here and you’re not going to be doing it by yourself. If someone is on the fence about coming, I would encourage them to try the first class. Get a feel for the community atmosphere here, and know you’ll be surrounded by people that want to help you achieve your goals.”
