Get pumped, Birmingham, because this weekend is dedicated to celebrating. First up is Juneteenth on Saturday, June 19, followed by Father’s Day on Sunday, June 20. Not to mention, June is PRIDE month, which means yet another reason to have a GOOD TIME. There’s no time to waste, your weekend plans for June 18-20 await you below.

Eu…eu…phonious…

The city’s newest music festival, Euphonious, takes place June 18-20 at The Birmingham Zoo. The concert is set to feature nationally renowned artists + some local names, too. Some bands hitting the stage include: Moon Taxi, Sister Hazel + Blues Traveler. A portion of proceeds from the concert series will support United Ability. Haven’t bought tickets yet? The Modern Green Book hosts their 1st Annual Juneteenth Fest at Legion Field on Saturday, June 19 from Noon-10PM. From food trucks and local vendors to a Hip Hop Showcase and live performances from local artists, here’s what makes this event next level. Admission Price: Before 5PM – FREE, 5PM-7PM – $10, 7PM-10PM – $20. Event prices vary. Tickets

If your dad’s king of the grill, head to Cahaba Brewing Co. for their first ever Father’s Day Steak Competition on Saturday, June 19 from Noon-5PM. The event features cook teams, food, vendors, live music + more. Tickets are $40.

Hear that engine purr

A fun-filled, family-friendly event is in store this Saturday, June 19—the Park in the Park Car Show. Held at Avondale Park from 9AM-3PM, check out a variety of sleek cars, listen to oldies from DJ Ronnie Foster, grab some grub from local food trucks + shop what’s hot from local vendors. Admission is FREE. Register your car for $25.

It’s tiki time

This Sunday, June 20, switch to island time at The Backyard in Leeds. They’ll be hosting a Father’s Day Yacht Rock Jam Party with Capt. Geno, and you won’t want to miss it. Enjoy drink specials, giveaways + sweet, sweet, music from the 60s, 70s + 80s. Admission is FREE.
