Reading time: 4 minutes
We’ve been impatiently waiting for this moment for months, and it’s finally here—we toured The Valley Hotel and it’s jaw-dropping.
While still a work in progress, the opening date is set for February 16. So mark your calendars, Birmingham, and keep reading for a visual tour, plus info on how to book your next staycation.
The Valley Hotel: Coming Soon
Located in the heart of Homewood at the intersection of 18th Street South and 28th Avenue South, The Valley Hotel promises to be an “escape from the everyday”—and we’re sold. With a spectacular location and A+ amenities, the hotel is guaranteed to be a hit.
Although the hotel is still under construction, The Valley team graciously gave us a grand tour. Keep scrolling to see photos of the space.
The Exterior
After months of driving by the construction site, it’s amazing to see how the hotel has taken shape. The 129-room luxury hotel is a Curio by Hilton and features an array of amenities like conference rooms, cafes, cocktail bars and more.
The hotel boasts two separate entrances—one for guests checking in and another for easy access to Ironwood Kitchen & Cocktails, The Terrace Bar and The Red Mountain Ballroom on the second floor.
The Main Lobby
In the main lobby, a massive fireplace will be the focal point surrounded by seating options for arriving guests.
Although still under construction, we can already tell the fire place will be an eye-catcher.
Off the main lobby, you’ll find The Valley Coffee Co., an all-day cafe serving up specialty coffee and handmade danishes at breakfast, artisanal sandwiches at lunch and beer and wine in the evenings.
Connected to the cafe will be a quaint courtyard so guests can enjoy a latte in an outdoor oasis. There’s also a fitness center on the first floor which offers top-of-the-line equipment so guests can break a sweat during their stay.
Ironwood Kitchen & Cocktails
Inspired by Birmingham’s origins, Ironwood Kitchen & Cocktails has an industrial feel with touches of coal-colored finishes and fiery accent walls. They’ll serve up elevated Southern comfort food and offer cozy indoor seating as well as outdoor seating for 60+ on their patio.
See that curved copper wall? That’s the private dining area at Ironwood which seats 14.
The Second Entrance
The second entrance to the hotel features a stunning chandelier, easy access to Ironwood and a monumental staircase leading to the second-floor ballroom, meeting space and The Terrace Bar.
