1. Dave’s Pub
Dave’s has been a fixture in Five Points since 1995. This classic pub has a great happy hour, live music, patio space and more.
Must-try drink | Whiskey fans, this is your place. They’ve got over 100 whiskeys available, but their self-proclaimed favorite is George Dickel.

2. Carrigan’s Public House
Carrigan’s in a local favorite—in fact, they now have three locations spread out across the city.
Must-try dish | If you haven’t tried the Carrigan’s corn dog yet… you should do that.
Must-try drink | Carrigan’s is known for their cocktails, and they specialize in gin and whiskey. Pro tip: ask for a “Fightin’ Words.”

3. Mojo Pub
Live music Tuesday-Saturday, a late-night kitchen open till 2AM… what more could you want in a pub?
Must-try dish | One word: pizza. That’s all you need to know. Mojo has all kinds and it all looks delicious.
Must-try drink | Mojo always has unique products rolling in, so if you like trying new things, be sure to ask your bartender what they’ve got.

4. The Anvil Pub and Grill
Located in Hoover, the Anvil Pub is relatively new on the scene. It’s one of the more upscale pubs on the list, but the food and drinks are well worth it.
Must-try dish | Would it be a British-style pub without serving up fish and chips? Their beer-battered cod is served with chips, mint peas, and tartare sauce.

5. The Grocery BrewPub
This Homewood gem offers 24 rotating craft beer taps, premium wines, house-made cocktails and delicious southern street-style food.
Must-try dish | The Grocery’s food menu varies, but if you ever have the chance to try their lobster roll, do it.
