1. Carrigan’s Public House PB&J + FWB
A PB&J was my favorite meal as a kid, so who knew I’d still be a fan as an adult? Of course, the PB&J at Carrigan’s on Morris Avenue is a bit different. Each Monday, you can get a slice of New York-style pizza, a beer and a shot of Jameson Whiskey for $10. Not bad, huh?
And Carrigan’s Public House in Mountain Brook is not to be outdone! Head on over the mountain every Monday from 4PM to 9PM to try their FWB—Flatbread, Whiskey and Beer. The flatbread toppings will vary every week, so head on out to see what Chef Chris Spear has created!
2. Small-bite Tuesdays at EastWest
Each Tuesday, EastWest offers a bunch $5 small bites, perfect to snack on! There are a ton of options to choose from—kamikaze tater tots, edamame, ginger-carrot house salad, Mongolian chicken tostados and friend pork gyoza.
In addition, swing back to EastWest on Wednesdays for their half-priced wings. Plus, you can grab a $5 Old Fashioned while you’re there!
3. Recession Special @ Marty’s PM
For those looking for late-night food, Marty’s PM is hard to beat. Especially with their “Recession Special”—a fried bologna sandwich, bag of chips and a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer for only $5.
4. 2 Slices & a Salad at Zaza
Head over to Trattoria Zaza each day from 5PM to 7PM for a special we can all get behind—2 slices of pizza, a mixed-greens salad and a beer for only $10! Choose from Zaza’s delicious pizza options and top it off with a beer from one of Birmingham’s local breweries for the perfect evening meal.
