It’s National Cheeseburger Day! Yep, Wednesday, September 18 is the acclaimed day to sink your teeth into the burger of your dreams. But we’ve decided to put a spin on this tasty day by offering up four spots around Birmingham who offer the vegan-friendly Impossible Burger.

But First… What’s an Impossible Burger?

The Impossible Burger is made from proteins, flavors, fats, and binders, like almost every burger, but this one is derived from plants. In other words, it’s a “meatless” vegan burger.

But, while many vegan burgers have the reputation of tasting like totally fake meat, the Impossible Burger is said to taste so much like its all beef compadre that it’s “impossible” to tell the difference.

Melted cheese sandwiches, fries and local beers. Talk about the perfect combo!

If you’re seeking a vegan option this National Cheeseburger Day, head to Melt Birmingham.

Scroll the “Get Toasty” section of the menu and choose from their burger list. Just be sure to substitute the all-beef burger patty for an Impossible Burger patty ($4). You can also get vegan cheese ($2) melted on top.

Mile End Deli may be known for their wood-fired bagels, but they also offer many other yummy items, including the Impossible Burger. This is one version you definitely don’t want to miss out on.
