Far & Wide, the popular national digital publication, announced last week their “Best Sandwich in Every State list.” The winner in Alabama… drumroll please… the BBQ Chicken Sandwich with White Sauce.

A North Alabama specialty, “Alabama White Sauce” was first made famous at Big Bob Gibson’s Bar-B-Q in Decatur. Miss Myra’s introduced the sauce to the Birmingham community in 1984. The recipe
Want to make your own Alabama White Sauce? Miss Myra’s has shared their recipe numerous times in publications throughout the years.
