The Purple Onion, a Birmingham favorite with several locations throughout the city, is set to open a new location in the Lakeview district. We’re bringing you the inside scoop- check it out!

Something for Everyone

The Purple Onion is a Birmingham-native Deli and Grill serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a large and varied menu, serving everything from burgers, subs, wings, and barbecue, to falafel and baba ghanouj. Their website claims,

“Whatever you’re in the mood for, you can find it here!”

New Location Coming this Fall

According to Purple Onion owner Adnan Abu-Sharif, they are aiming to open the new location in early October of this year. The new Purple Onion will be coming to 737 29 St. South in Lakeview.
