Our boy Burroughs is in the Top 10, y‘all!

On Sunday, April 14, the Vestavia Hills grad took to the stage with his first live performance of the season, singing “Climb Every Mountain” from The Sound of Music for judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

Monday, April 15, the show’s host Ryan Seacrest announced Burroughs made it to the top 10 by America’s overnight vote. He then sang “Lovebug” by the Jonas Brothers.

Here’s who made the top 10 on American Idol 2019:

Bruster’s Ice Cream FTW

This past week, Bruster’s Ice Cream named a flavor after Burroughs, appropriately named “Good Heavens”, which is his trademark saying on the show. Burroughs made the combo himself—Honey Nut Cheerios with peanut butter and vanilla ice cream.

The ice cream chain sent a gallon of Burroughs’ ice cream to the judges, which they immediately dove into after his performance. Burroughs even shared a bite with Seacrest. Genius marketing, Bruster’s. Now I want some ice cream!
