11 things to see at the Birmingham Home Show February 15-17

The Birmingham Home Show kicks off Friday, February 15th at the BJCC. We took a sneak peek before they opened on Friday. Read on to find out eleven things you can’t miss at the Birmingham home show, including wiiiiiiiiiiiine slushieeeeeees.

Ten Must See Things At the Birmingham Home Show

The Birmingham Home Show at the BJCC. What’s not to love? Snack vendors, patio inspo, Pinterest worthy decor, wine slushie samples, nuts, maybe a dog fashion show? See you there.

1. See what tiny home nation is all about

Ever wondered what it’d be like to live in a tiny home? Think you could cut it? Find out at the Birmingham Home Show, where AL Tiny Homes has one of their fully furnished tiny homes setup for you to tour. The inside is to die for!

2. Win a bed swing at Trinity Construction

This hand crafted bed swing by Trinity Construction is up for grabs through their Birmingham Home Show giveaway. Sign up, who knows? You could win. They’ll even come out and install it for you. Bonus: they’ve got tons of branded swag at their booth too!

3. See Brett Tutor from TLC’s Trading Spaces

We ran into Brett Tutor from TLC’s Trading Spaces before doors opened Friday—he’s thrilled to be in Birmingham for the Birmingham Home Show! He’ll be speaking at the home show on the main stage Saturday, February 16 at 12 PM.

4. Stop By the Cooking Demo Booth

The cooking booth will host a full schedule of local culinary demonstrations through Sunday, February 17th. Friday, we saw Birmingham’s talented caterer Eryka Perry from Not Just Catering showcase her cooking skills on the stage. View the full schedule of locals that will take the stage.

5. Walk through the AFS interactive exhibit

The pros at  AFS, A Bayless Company, the leading Foundation & Waterproofing Company in the Southeast have an interactive exhibit on site to help pinpoint any potential foundation problems you could potentially have in your home. I took a spin through the exhibit and identified a few problems in my own home. It was a real eye opener!

6. Spin the Wheel at Southern Journeys for a chance to win a trip

Live out your Wheel of Fortune fantasies and spin the wheel at Southern Journeys for a chance to win a trip! So many fun vacations up for grabs. Can’t hurt to give it a spin, right?!

7. Scope out the patio at Southern Lawn and Landscapes

Spring is just around the corner, making it the perfect time to consider that patio renovation. The Birmingham Home Show features many outdoor contractors and builders with awesome displays, but nothing was cooler than this faux flagstone fireplace. V cool.

8. Consider your purchases by the coy pond, maybe buy one too?

The folks at Backyard Paradise are ready to fulfill all of your backyard water feature needs. They’ve set up a considerably sized coy pond right in the middle of the Birmingham Home Show. Check it out! (Coy fish not included, unfortunately this is not the state fair.)

9. Eat some nuts

You can’t miss the guys at German Roasted Nuts. The smell of the delicious roasting nuts greets you at the door! (They’re offering free samples all weekend, so be sure to try before you buy.)

10. Attend the pet fashion show

A parade of Birmingham’s best dressed critters will take to the stage Sunday, February 17th at 11 AM. After the pet fashion show, check out Roxy’s Puptique around the corner from the stage for some fido fashion inspiration.

11. Closets by Design

If your closet is a hot mess of hangers and mismatched shoes, head over to the Closets by Design booth. They’ll get you back on the right track to an organized wardrobe!

Tickets at $8 and can be bought at the door. Make sure to visit the Birmingham Home Show website for up-to-date information about current road closures surrounding the I-59/20 construction.
