With local technology companies expanding and exciting software development conferences on the horizon, Birmingham’s tech scene is hot right now.

Prepaid Technologies Expands and Evolves

Prepaid Technologies, a local tech firm that helps customers and employees manage digital payments, has recently expanded its team by more than 30 percent.

With company-wide growth of more than 20 percent in 2017, and some new payment technology rolling out soon, more growth seems to be on the horizon.

After teaming up with Visa to explore wearable technology at the 2016 Olympics, Prepaid Technologies has announced they will soon be expanding their technology to include near-field wearable payment devices.

You heard right.
