Music and Arts Week

Music and Arts Week is a weeklong summer camp held at the beautiful Camp Sumatanga located in Gallant, AL. Children entering 3rd grade through graduating highschool seniors can participate. Campers spend the week learning music that they will perform for family and friends at the closing concert on Friday night. Our leadership selects choral directors from among the best in the USA to teach the children and youth choirs throughout the week. Campers spend two to three hours a day in various choral rehearsals practicing and learning skills from sight reading to music theory. We welcome all choral knowledge levels from beginner to expert. Campers choose two “elective” classes from a list including handbells, dance, art, sign language, banners, drama, worship leadership, guitar, instrumentals, recreation, and more. Daytime activities may also include volleyball, swimming, canoeing, and hiking. Evening activities include game night, folk dancing, scavenger hunts, and talent show.
