Shelby County breakfast and brunch fans have a new daytime dining destination. First Watch opened its doors in Alabaster on Monday, June 15, bringing its chef-inspired menu, fresh-juiced beverages, and specialized coffee program to the area.

Located at 725 1st St. S., the new 4,400-square-foot restaurant features:

  • Indoor seating for more than 170 people
  • A dedicated bar area
  • A covered patio for outdoor dining

What is on the First Watch Alabaster menu?

First Watch operates with a “Follow the Sun” culinary philosophy, meaning the kitchen uses fresh ingredients without heat lamps, microwaves, or deep fryers. The standard all-day menu includes:

  • Classic favorites: Omelets, French toast + the traditional breakfast.
  • Signature dishes: Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Farmhouse Hash + Million Dollar Bacon.
  • Lunch options: A variety of sandwiches + salads, including the Superfood Kale Salad.

The Alabaster location will launch its first rotating seasonal menu in fall 2026.

Opening week specials + jobs in Alabaster

To celebrate the grand opening, dine-in customers from Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, will receive FREE, unlimited Project Sunrise coffee with their meal. The coffee is sourced responsibly through partnerships with women coffee farmers in South America.

In addition to local dining options, the restaurant brings roughly 30 jobs to the Alabaster community. First Watch operates on a “no night shifts ever” model from 7AM to 2:30PM, aiming to provide better work-life balance for its employee base.
