How often does your apartment complex host community events? Once a month—or less? At Overture Tributary, a one-of-a-kind 55+ community off U.S. 280, you’ll find residents engaged in multiple events each week, from live music and line dancing classes to regular brunches and resident-led karaoke.

But first—what is Overture Tributary?

Tucked away in a quiet, secluded grove just across from The Summit on U.S. 280, Overture Tributary is everything you could want in a modern residential community—and then some. With thoughtfully designed modern residences, maintenance-free living and a welcoming 55+ community, Overture Tributary is perfect for active adults entering an exciting new chapter of their lives.

Here are just a few of the custom-developed amenities and services that residents love at Overture Tributary:

  • A seasonal, temperature-controlled pool with poolside cabanas (perfect for lounging!)
  • A pickleball court + resident community garden
  • A 24/7 access resident lounge and courtyard
  • A movie theater and game room

“We try to utilize these things as much as possible. I work out daily, and I’ll play pickleball a couple days a week with friends. Sometimes, a few of the guys come down and we just drink bourbon on Sunday night. It’s all here, so you don’t have to go far.

Another thing we like here is that [Overture Tributary is] very close to the other things we’d like to do—we’ll have dinner and a movie at The Summit, or go to Iron City for a concert, and it’s all close by.”

It’s no secret that staying physically, socially and mentally active is important for all ages—and even more so for those 55+. To help foster a healthier and happier life for its residents, Overture Tributary’s staff developed a unique, dynamic collection of fitness classes, educational opportunities and social events that engage and inspire residents.

“We want to have something for everyone, but in some ways, we also kind of want to make their kids and their grandkids jealous. So I never think about something as being restricted to their demographic or their age group.”

Each month, Overture Tributary’s calendar is chock-full of events—from entertainment like live music and bingo to informative seminars on scam prevention and financial elder abuse.

But not every activity is planned by Overture Tributary—in fact, more than half of the activities are thought up and created by the residents themselves. Resident-led activities range from private dinners with impactful local organizations to dancing and karaoke nights!

“Usually someone comes to me with an idea: maybe they want to teach Pilates or start a Mahjong group. I just ask them ‘How can I help?’ and get to work on whatever it takes to get their event going.”
