Lululemon at The Summit moving to former Talbots location

Last year, we reported that Talbots closed its long-time location at The Summit.

Later this year, high-end athletics brand Lululemon will be moving from its current home near Chuy’s to the former Talbots building—an expansion that will double its size.

Lululemon at The Summit is expanding

If you’ve ever waited in line to get into Lululemon on Black Friday or tax-free weekend, you know that its current location at The Summit has outgrown itself given the brand’s popularity.

With a larger location in one of The Summit’s only stand-alone storefronts, this expansion will likely improve accessibility and parking.

According to a report from 280 Living, the new store is expected to open in Summer 2025.

What’s going on at The Summit in 2025?

In addition to this recent expansion, there’s always something new going on at The Summit.

Here’s a look at what’s happening in 2025:

• Abercrombie & Fitch – This long-time apparel retailer is returning to Alabama after years at the Galleria.
• Alo – Another popular yoga and lifestyle brand, the first Alo in Alabama location is expected to open in Summer 2025. A mecca for fitness apparel and activewear, the nearest Alo locations are in Atlanta and Nashville.
• Ann Taylor – The popular women’s brand will be relocating to a new space next to Vera Bradley, offering an updated store design and an enhanced shopping experience.
• Boll & Branch – The luxury bedding and home brand, renowned for its ethically-made products, will open its first Alabama location at The Summit near Urban Outfitters. The store expects to open in the Summer 2025. 
• Kendra Scott —The national jewelry brand is expanding to a larger store, offering more merchandise and fresh designs.
