Clarks, the 201-year-old British shoemaker, lands in Leeds

Clarks, a legendary British footwear manufacturer and retailer founded in 1825, opened its third Alabama store at the Shops of Grand River in Leeds today, Sept. 25, 2026.
The new space is located in suite 318, across from the Polo Ralph Lauren Outlet Store.
The other two Alabama locations are in Hoover and Foley.
Clarks offers a wide variety of iconic and sturdy shoes
Clarks is best known for three iconic styles — the Desert Boot, Wallabee and Desert Trek — but the Leeds outlet also carries budget-friendly takes like the Wallaston.
The local store at Grand River sells all kinds of classic Clarks footwear and accessories, including:
- Boots
- Sneakers
- Clogs
- Slip-ons
- Belts
Staff at the Clarks opening told Bham Now what makes their store stand out are the “shoes” craftsmanship and the level of service they provide their customers.
“They’re sturdy. Everybody tells us their Clarks last them 20 years!”
