Opened in 2023 in the former Slag Heap Brewing location, Steele Hall Brewing was co-founded by Scott Worthington and Eric Mitchell, two brewers who met while working at Heist Brewery in North Carolina.

The brewery offers a rotating draft menu as well as five “core” beers:

  • Bama Beer (Classic American Lager): An easy drinker brewed to rival all the macro domestics. The perfect segue beer from domestic to craft.
  • Mala Chite (Wheat Ale Brewed w/ Lime): Everything you want from lime and nothing you don’t. High level drinkability and zest.
  • Felice Birra (Italian Pilsner): A full-bodied clean, crisp hoppy pilsner. Perfect beer for the foodie and experimentalist alike.
  • Cam Ellia (India Pale Ale): Proportionally hoppy, and scant on the bitter, this hazy beer is for IPA stans and newcomers alike.
  • Hyper Scale (Sour Ale): A tropical escape right in our backyard. Tart, vibrant, and passionately brewed with passionfruit and dragonfruit.

Steele Hall Brewing adding a new golf simulator

The owners of Steele Hall Brewing recently announced a new golf simulator concept, called The Cut, on the brewery’s social media pages. According to the announcement, The Cut will be a “state of the art indoor golf simulator bar with an exciting food concept attached.”

The new golf simulator bar will be located in a previously unused area of the brewery.

“Since we moved in, we’ve been using the back half of our building as storage. We wanted to find a unique way to utilize that space in a fun way that will bring more people in.”

Once complete, Steele Hall’s new concept will include two golf simulators (with room for a third if needed) and lounge areas with room for 7-8 guests per party.

“We’re excited to add The Cut to Steele Hall Brewing. Guests will be able to play on state-of-the-art simulators that track distance, height, ball speed and can simulate all sorts of different, iconic golf courses.”

The Cut will offer private membership packages (both corporate and individual), although the facility will be available to be booked for events by the public. The owners aim to complete The Cut in early April, just in time for Steele Hall Brewing’s 2-year anniversary.
