$30 million permit issued for new Jeff Met industrial building

Of the eight million-dollar-plus construction projects issued building permits this past week, the largest was a building permit for a 275,000-square-foot facility in Jefferson County.

Ground broken on Jeff Met McCalla Industrial Park

This project involves a 275,000-square-foot Class A tilt wall, 36′ clear, cross dock, distribution/manufacturing facility in McCalla. Ground was broken on the project in October.

Prestige Development Partners, based in Frisco, Texas, bought the land from the Jefferson County Economic and Industrial Development Authority for $991,100 in January 2023.

The manufacturing and warehouse facility will be located at 5782 McAshan Drive and is part of Jefferson Metropolitan Park.
