In May 2024, five Trussville residents—sisters Elizabeth and Mary Martin, their husbands Mark and John Martin and friend Dean Maio—opened Corbeau Wine Bar on Morrow Ave in Trussville’s Entertainment District.

The family-owned-and-operated business was designed as a balanced mix of sophisticated and casual, with a polished, approachable wine-tasting experience.

Now, the group has opened a second location at an exciting new development in Homewood.

Earlier this year, we discovered that Corbeau Wine Bar was planning to open a new location at The Edge in Homewood.

A mixed-use development with food, drinks and retail, The Edge is located in Edgewood—a popular, fast-growing neighborhood in Homewood. Already, The Edge is home to several tenants, including:

  • Baba Java Coffee
  • popbar
  • B’ham Burger
  • The Que*Bicle by Porkys Pride
  • Shin Ramen Noodle & Asian Cuisine
  • Cookie Plug
  • True40 Fitness Studio

The latest tenant to open at The Edge, Corbeau Wine Bar’s new Homewood location officially opened on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

“We are incredibly happy with the reception we’ve received from the people of Homewood. The Edge is a fantastic facility; we have a great outdoor area, a stage and it’s very family-friendly.”

According to Dean, Corbeau Wine Bar is unlike any other wine bar in the state. Inside, you’ll find a full-service bar and the only retail-forward Napa Technology WineStation in Alabama. In addition, Corbeau Wine Bar has a service window for guests in its outdoor portion.

Wine isn’t all you’ll find—Corbeau Wine Bar has a lunch and dinner menu available between 11AM and 9PM on weekdays and 11AM and 11PM on weekends. Dishes on the menu include:

  • Salads
  • Flatbreads
  • Charcuterie boards
  • Sandwiches
  • Pasta options
  • And more
