Earlier this month, you may have noticed one Vestavia Hills restaurant has a new name. Thanks to a slight change in ownership, the former Palm & Pig has rebranded to Hillside Music & Que.

In addition to the new food and drinks, what makes Hillside Music & Que standout is its live music. According to owner Skip Davis, customers will be able to enjoy a beer and burger while local musicians jam out on the patio.

3. Crestwood Pickers | Crestwood

Crestwood

The wait is over—Crestwood Pickers opened for business on July 27, featuring over 300 local vendors selling furniture, clothing, handmade goods and more.

Located in the former Burlington Coat Factory location at the Crestwood Festival Shopping Center, this antique mall and indoor market will surely have something for everyone.

The new bar will be attached to Umami, with plans to enclose the patio area discussed by the Trussville Design Review Committee. Be on the lookout for this brand-new addition to Umami Trussville.

See you soon, Ghost Train! (Nathan Watson / Bham Now)

Over the weekend, Birmingham was saddened to learn that beloved local brewery Ghost Train had temporarily closed its doors. According to a sign posted on Ghost Train’s front door, the brewery will be closed in order to make some “exciting changes”.

8. Rickshaw Food Truck

According to a recent Instagram post, Rickshaw food truck has decided to close after two years. During its tenure in Birmingham, Rickshaw brought exciting East Asian-inspired cuisine to the community.

While Birmingham has lost a unique culinary gem, we are excited to see what they do in the future.

Check out a few new businesses coming to Huntsville.
