Here’s a look at what to expect when you visit.
New Hoover café brings elevated coffee + desserts to public library

Your coffee experience is getting a boost inside the Hoover Public Library. (Café NOIR)
NOIR, a collaboration between Pauline’s Fine Cakes and Desserts and LaFleur Coffee Boutique, will offer:
- Specialty coffee drinks
- Handcrafted pastries
- Curated brunch options
- Catering services
Guests can expect vegetarian and kid-friendly menu items in a welcoming atmosphere. Plus, with comfortable seating and thoughtfully curated menu items, the café is designed to encourage guests to stay awhile—whether you’re diving into a new read you just checked out from the Hoover Public Library, catching up on work or meeting friends over coffee and dessert.
TIP: While you’re there, make sure to sign up for a library card—or update the one one that’s been sitting untouched in your wallet. It’s the perfect opportunity and only takes a few minutes.
Birmingham business owner behind NOIR
One familiar face behind the new café is Tiffaney Strayhorne, owner of Pauline’s Fine Cakes. She was recently honored during Small Business Week at the Network Navigator Small Business Awards for her contributions to Birmingham’s small business community.
