NEW popular pizzeria coming to Birmingham’s Uptown entertainment district

Capella Pizzeria is moving into the former Your Pie location within the Uptown retail development at the BJCC.

This will be the pizza joint’s third location in the Birmingham metro area.

Bringing Italy to The Magic City

A family-owned pizzeria, Capella specializes in authentic custom wood-fired pizza from Italy.

“At Capella, we honor the rituals of Italy and create more than your everyday, ordinary pizza. We bring to your table a flavorful journey to the cultural experience of true Neapolitan pizza and cuisine. Capella’s menu is simple—nine signature pizzas, salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers, and desserts. Pizzas cook at 800 degrees in specially designed ovens imported from Italy.”

Italian ingredients and atmosphere

According to Capella, you will also experience genuine Italian ingredients on their pizzas and atmosphere.

Here is what to expect:

• Cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, truffle oil, Citterio pepperoni and soppressata all imported from Italy
• Sausage made by an Italian family from north of Milan
• Long community-style tables, Italian music and European soccer on TV

Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard represented Capella Pizzeria in the deal bringing them to Uptown.

Capella Pizzeria joins Dillard’s Chophouse as this year’s most recent addition to the entertainment district at the BJCC. In May, Uptown was also featured in Forbes as a “place to watch.”
