Fresh Market on HWY 280 closing after two decades

The popular specialty grocery store Fresh Market is closing its Inverness Village location, Bham Now has confirmed.

Located at 4740 U.S Highway 280, the store plans to shut down in August.

The Inverness store opened twenty years ago in 2004. Its departure leaves the Birmingham metro area with only one Fresh Market location which is near the former Brookwood Mall in Homewood. Statewide there are Fresh Market locations in Tuscaloosa, Mobile, Daphne, Montgomery and Huntsville.
