Today, June 5, Sanctum Tattoos and Comics reopened its doors in a new location in downtown Birmingham. Bham Now met up with owners Aaron Hamilton and Wess Gregg to see what’s new.

In 2016, longtime friends Aaron Hamilton and Wess Gregg founded Sanctum Comics and Tattoos in Avondale. Both shared a passion for comic books and had experience working in other Birmingham-area comic shops, including The Comic Strip and Kingdom Comics.
“I’ve been a tattoo artist for 20 years, but I’ve always wanted to open my own comic shop too. I couldn’t run both businesses by myself, so I reached out to Wess to see if he’d be interested in doing this with me. He was easily bribed, so it worked it!”
