Camping not quite your speed? Thanks to a partnership with Timberline Glamping, you and your family can now experience the natural beauty of Oak Mountain State Park without roughing it in the wilderness.

Timberline Glamping partnered with Alabama State Parks back in 2023 to provide a unique outdoor experience for visitors and now offers glamping at six state parks.

Each glamping tent includes:

  • Real beds with fresh linens
  • Electricity + climate control
  • String lights
  • Dining amenities like a coffee maker, mini fridge + charcoal grill
  • A fire pit, picnic table + outdoor chairs

The experience is perfect for families, couples and groups of friends, according to Alabama State Parks.

“It’s exciting to expand the glamping opportunities at our state parks. Glamping has become increasingly popular in the last few years, and we’ve seen how much our visitors have embraced it.

“Being able to offer glamping at Oak Mountain allows more people to stay, play and explore everything the park has to offer.”

Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner Chris Blankenship

The state parks also offer other accommodations like resort-style lodging, cabins, chalets, full-service RV sites and traditional camping sites.

Alabama State Parks plans to add glamping to more of its 21 state parks down the line.
