Popular downtown cocktail bar Adiõs was just named a Regional Top 10 Honoree for the 18th Annual Spirited Awards®. Read on to learn more!

The “Oscars” of the global spirits community

Established in 2007 to honor excellence in the drinks industry, the Spirited Awards® has grown to be the “Oscars” of the global cocktail and spirits community.

Recognized by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation in partnership with Spirited Awards media partner Forbes, the honorees are broken into geographical regions worldwide and in the U.S.

Adiõs and 9 other bars were recognized in the U.S. Central category. They are competing against each other to become one of four finalists for the region. The competition includes bars from Chicago, Austin, Houston and Detroit.

Adiõs rockstars

The owners of Adiõs, Jesús owns and operates, Honest Coffee Roasters,  Unos Tacos and The Louis Bar in The Pizitz Food Hall while José honed his skills as beverage director at Automatic Seafood & Oysters

They opened Adiõs in 2022 to rave reviews. Within a year, Food and Wine ranked them among the top 15 places to drink tequila in the country. The Spirited Awards® also listed them as one of the best new bars.

“My team is elated to be listed amongst all these other amazing bars from all over the country and world. It’s pretty crazy to be on that list because a lot of times Birmingham as a beverage scene gets left out. It’s nice to put Birmingham on the map globally. We couldn’t have Adiõs without the amazing team and customers that we have.”

 José Medina Camacho, co-owner, Adiõs
