Reading time: 2 minutes

Rêve, Birmingham’s only tasting menu restaurant, revealed its newly renovated space at a public ribbon-cutting on Wednesday.
Led by Chef Jacob M. Stull, Rêve was included in the first MICHELIN Guide American South edition in November 2025.
List of Rêve’s transformative changes

Located downtown at The Pizitz (1821 2nd Ave N, Ste 176) across from the McWane Science Center, the restaurant celebrated the restaurant’s transformation which includes:
- New black oak flooring
- Complete acoustic redesign that enhances conversations and allows the dining experience to unfold without distraction
- New light fixtures
- Reconfigured seating with larger round tables designed for smaller parties
- Artwork by Mandy Maples
They have also added a handcrafted French Rotisol rotisserie, featuring an iconic brass and cast-iron design. The culinary centerpiece is placed within the dining room. The addition has enabled Rêve to add a new tasting on the menu called the Rotisserie Experience.
Obviously, the food and beverage program is the highlight at Rêve. They offer six course and ten course tasting menus. The restaurant has also massively expanded their wine and champagne list. The fine dining space also serves brandy and cognacs from France that can be found nowhere else in Alabama.
“We’re very much an experience-based restaurant, we really dive into the storytelling of food and emotional connection to the land, the sea and memories.”
Chef Jacob Stull
