Forge, a coworking space on the mezzanine level of The Pizitz, announced in a recent press release that it has expanded its offices. The expansion includes all kinds of new amenities as the demand for private workspaces has increased for businesses, startups and individuals in the Birmingham area.

Forge Coworking Space began nearly 10 years ago

Forge is the brainchild of founder Kim Lee, who opened the space in 2017 far before remote or hybrid work became the norm. Lee founded the company in an attempt to provide a workspace and networking resource for businesses and startups in the Birmingham area.

“At Forge, we are in the business of growing businesses. As we listened to our members and prospective members, it became clear that we had a growing demand for more private offices. In order to fulfill our mission of helping to grow businesses, we needed to make a change to meet that demand. With the completion of our new offices, the response has been great. We feel like we are now in a position to continue to serve the small business and entrepreneurial community in Birmingham.”

After an eight-week-long renovation, the 8,900-square-foot space contains all kinds of new amenities to make office work easy and intuitive, including:

  • 27 private offices with 24/7 access
  • Conference rooms
  • Complimentary Domestique coffee + snack bar
  • Printing access
  • Private phone booths
  • Shared workspace
