“Traffic growth is helping us when we talk to airlines about growing their service offerings here in Birmingham. Airlines look for the best opportunities to grow their businesses and increase revenue. More passengers flying through BHM means we have a better story to tell.”

~ Ron Mathieu, President & CEO of the Birmingham Airport Authority

BHM added flights to New York, Orlando and Las Vegas in 2023. Passengers can also fly nonstop from BHM to 18 airport destinations in 15 cities, with competing services to several of those markets. June and July were the busiest months.
