Rougaroux – 99

Can’t wait to try their gumbo! (Rougaroux’s Facebook)

Authentic. Whenever you step into Rougaroux over in Forest Park that’s the first word that comes to mine. The po boys and gumbo + the New Orleans decor. Who needs to drive or take the train to the Big Easy?

Sol Y Luna – 95

Whenever my wife and I go to Sol Y Luna, the first thing we order is their Perfect Margarita. Why? Because it IS PERFECT! Birmingham’s original tapas restaurant, every item on the menu from the iron skillet mussels to the crabmeat enchiladas is memorable and one of a kind.

Taj India – 95

Everyone loves Taj India’s new location on Clairmont Avenue! Birmingham’s oldest Indian restaurant move has been seamless. The food is still delicious and tasty — and it’s great to see our old friends welcome us to their new home.
