If you’ve been in Birmingham for a while, you definitely know about Eunice Elliott. Soon, the rest of the country will too. Formerly a co-anchor on WVTM, Elliott has been making headlines lately for her rising stardom in Hollywood as a stand-up comedian and co-host of TMZ Live.
From Bessemer to Hollywood
Elliott, a Bessemer native, became known in Birmingham after she joined the WVTM team ten years ago. Over the years, the co-anchor made a name for herself as a stand-up comedian and TV and radio personality. Now, Elliott has made the move to Hollywood to pursue entertainment.
Birmingham’s Eunice Elliott makes waves in Hollywood
Between working with TMZ, opening for Marlon Wayans at The Hollywood Improv and appearing on daytime show Person Place or Thing—it’s safe to say Eunice Elliott has been pretty busy in Hollywood. Elliott told Bham Now she was working in the newsroom when TMZ founder Harvey Levin invited her on as a co-host.
“It was fun and surreal. [Harvey Levin] actually called me that morning as I was on my way in to do the TMZ newsroom show and asked if I wanted to co-host TMZ Live with him that same day. We have been working pretty closely together on the new TMZ selfie tour and that’s when I think he realized I could do more than be a tour guide, which I really enjoy doing.”
