1. Neon Moon’s Haunted Hideaway: A Spooktacular Pop-Up Adventure

  • What: Throughout the entire month of October, Neon Moon will be transformed into a spine-tingling haunted haven, complete with eerie decorations that will transport you to a world of thrills and chills. Every night promises a unique experience as they unveil a series of thrilling theme nights that will keep you coming back for more, including a wicked array of drink specials and more.

2. Alabama Workplace Evolution: Supporting Mentally Healthy Work Environments

  • What: This conference is aimed to help both employers and employees learn how to address mental health, substance use and recovery in the workplace. All who attend will be equipped with the education and tools needed to create programs and informed policies to support a healthy workforce.
  • When: Thursday, October 5 | 9AM-4PM
  • Where: Jefferson State Community College – Judy Merritt Building/Health & Sciences Building

3. Greek Food Festival

  • What: Stop by the 50th Annual Greek Food Festival filled with music, dancing and, of course, lots of food. You’ll get to try menu items like souvlakia pastichio, Greek chicken, spanokopita, dolmathes, veggie plates and more!
  • When: Thursday, October 5-Saturday, October 7 | 10:30AM-9:30PM

4. PUTTS FOR PAWS GOLF TOURNAMENT

  • What: Golfers and animal advocates will once again tee off at the beautiful Highland Park Golf Course in downtown Birmingham. Player registration begins at 11AM, and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at noon. An awards ceremony will follow the tournament.

  • What: The art show will feature 130 artists from around the country, including 35 who will be exhibiting for the first time. Mediums represented at the show include clay, glass, jewelry, metalworking, painting, photography, printmaking, 2D and 3D mixed media, ceramics and sculpture. There will also be music and several food trucks.
  • When: Saturday, October 7 | 9AM-5PM
