PUTTS FOR PAWS GOLF TOURNAMENT HOSTED BY THE GREATER BIRMINGHAM HUMANE SOCIETY YOUNG PROFESSIONALS BOARD HAPPENING ON OCTOBER 6TH
AT HIGHLANDS GOLF COURSE
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – September 26, 2023 – The Young Professionals Board of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS) is proud to announce the return of their 3rd Annual Putts for Paws Golf Tournament, presented by Oakworth Capital Bank.
Golfers and animal advocates will once again tee off at the beautiful Highland Park Golf Course in downtown Birmingham on October 6th. Player registration begins at 11AM, and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at noon. An awards ceremony will follow the tournament.
Attendees will have the opportunity to play 18 holes of golf, enjoy premium drinks provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, eat some great food, and win fabulous prizes throughout the tournament. During the course of the day, players and GBHS supporters will have the chance to bid on some unique and fun items in a silent auction. All proceeds from the tournament and auction will benefit the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we received during last year’s Putts for Paws Golf Tournament, which raised nearly $40,000 for the animals in our care at GBHS,” said Kate Hollingsworth, GBHS Director of Development. “As we gear up for this year’s event, we’re excited about the opportunity to bring together our supporters once again for a day of friendly competition and collective action for the abuse, neglected, and homeless animals that are impacted by GBHS every day.”
