10 new + coming soon openings in the Greater Birmingham Area

Happy Monday, Birmingham! We have the latest new and coming soon Birmingham businesses to check out this week. Keep reading for all the hot details.

1.  Under Armour Factory House | Leeds

Love athleisure? Under Armour Factory House is coming soon to Grand River Outlet in Leeds and will cary all types of sports apparel from athletic shirts to shoes and accessories. The Under Armour Factory House will be a 10,000 square-foot store located across from Brooks Brothers. It’s expected to open in October—just in time for the busy holiday season.

2. Popbar + Baba Java | Homewood

There’s a new development in the works called The Edge that will bring food, drinks, retail and more to the Edgewood neighborhood. According to Harbert Realty Services, Popbar and Baba Java Coffee have plans to open up shop in the new development. The combined Baba Java and Popbar shop will be Popbar’s second Alabama location and Baba Java’s third location.

3. Baskin-Robbins | Hoover

Baskin-Robbins—the largest (number of locations) ice cream specialty chain in the U.S.— is opening  its third stand-alone Alabama location in Hoover. The new Baskin Robbins in the Birmingham area is set to open on Sunday, September 3rd at 1539 Montgomery Highway, Hoover, Alabama 35216. The grand opening is scheduled for September 16th.

4. QuikTrip | Pell City

QuikTrip (QT), the popular regional travel center, has opened in Pell City, Alabama. The new “road trip pit stop”, which opened this month, is Alabama’s 4th QT location. The new QT is located right off Exit 156 about 30 miles from downtown Birmingham.

5. Dryft Coffee | Printer’s Corner

A new woman-owned coffee shop is coming to Printer’s Corner. Founded by Praveena Sundarraj, Dryft Coffee has roasted and served exceptional coffee grown by women out of their pop-up camper since The World Games 2022. Dryft Coffee’s future home is a 3,300 square-foot space located on the ground floor of Printer’s Corner, that will include will include a roasting space + coffee shop.

6. Cookie Fix | Highway 280

Cookie Fix announced the addition of their newest location along Highway 280 on Instagram. The beloved baked-daily cookies are delicious. Cookie Fix’s Highway 280 location, coming 2024, marks their sixth storefront and Birmingham’s third shop.

7. The Farmhouse Coffee Co. | Cullman

Need a coffee break? Celebrate the grand opening of The Farmhouse Coffee Co. with giveaways, free cookies + donuts and 10% off drinks all day on Thursday, August 31.

8. Bandwagon | Trussville

According to the Trussville Tribune, retail sports boutique, Bandwagon, has plans to open a downtown Trussville location. The sports store will be built in the vacant lot behind the brick clock plaza at the corner of North Chalkville Road and Main Street, but will open in a temporary location at 7129 Gadsden Hwy, while its permanent location is under construction, reported on by the Trussville Tribune.

9. Daysol Coffee + Good Neighbor Baking | Bluff Park

Daysol Coffee + Good Neighbor Baking are coming soon to the heart of Bluff Park. Keep an eye out for further details to come!

10. rEVOLVEr resale + Yolaine’s Enhancing Skincare Products | Five Points South

Local companies rEVOLVEr resale and Yolaine’s Enhancing Skincare Products will soon open a new co-leased shop in Birmingham’s Five Points South. rEVOLVEr resale offers a space for all, especially LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities to shop a little bit of everything secondhand. Yolaine’s Enhancing Skincare Products feature organic hair and skincare products, such as body oils, soaps, facial toners and more.
