1. Triple G’s | Pell City
Triple G’s is the definition of Southern comfort food. The sausage biscuits from the hot bar are delicious and will have you swinging by daily for breakfast.

2. Buc-ee’s | Leeds
My personal favorite place to grab road trip snacks is Buc-ee’s. They have nearly everything you could dream of from brisket sandwiches to roasted pecans and amazing fudge. Next time you drive by, I recommend buying a bag of the Buc-ee’s Famous Beaver Nuggets. These delicious sweet corn puffs can’t be found anywhere else.

3. Ricarda’s Filipino BBQ at Valley Food and Feed | Leeds
Enjoy Southern barbecue from Ricarda’s Filipino BBQ at the Valley Food and Feed in Leeds. Their barbecue sells out quickly and once it is gone, it’s gone.

4. Blue Pacific at Hoover Food Mart | Hoover
Blue Pacific at Hoover Food Mart has been deemed one of Birmingham’s best Thai restaurants. From the pad thai, spring rolls, curry, fried rice, wontons and wings, I don’t know what to try first.

5. Mac’s One Stop at Chevron | Birmingham
Stop by Mac’s One Stop for a burger or smoked chicken salad. They also serve breakfast each morning if you’re up early.

6. J & J Grocery at J & J Gas Station | Bessemer
J & J Grocery in Bessemer is known for its amazing burgers. On the menu you’ll find they have jalapeno bacon cheese, mushroom Swiss, Hawaiian and chili cheeseburgers. If you are a burger lover this deli is a must try.

7. Tom and Jerry’s Chevron | Highland Avenue
Tom and Jerry’s at the Chevron off of Highland Avenue serves up scrumptious hot dogs. They also have boiled peanuts to enjoy as a side.
