Five Points South is getting a new 24/7 diner

Late-night food is making a comeback in Five Points South.
After the closure of beloved late-night spot Marty’s PM in 2024, Dave’s Pub owner Dan Williams began looking for the right place to open a new 24/7 spot to fill the overnight void. When the former 5 Point Public House & Oyster Bar space hit the market, Williams knew it was the opportunity he was looking for.

Located between Ocean and Dobberβs Five Points Pub at 1210 20th Street South, Suite 100, the new diner is called Karma’s Kitchenβa nod to Williams’ daughter.
The restaurant will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; during the daytime and evening hours, Karmaβs Kitchen will focus on families, students and non-drinkers looking for a casual hangout spot in Five Points South. After midnight, the diner will shift into a late-night concept designed to serve people leaving nearby bars and music venues.

“I think it’s going to be really family-driven during the day, then at night it’ll start turning more into college kids and people leaving the bars.”
Dan Williams, owner, Karma’s Kitchen
To help create a comfortable overnight environment, Karma’s Kitchen will have armed security on site from midnight until 6AM, and guests under 18 will not be permitted inside after midnight.

What’s on the menu at Karma’s Kitchen?

Karma’s Kitchen opens in July

After about a month of renovation and preparation, Karma’s Kitchen is nearly ready to open. According to Williams, the final “hurdle” for the restaurant to clear is approval from the Jefferson County Department of Health.
“I’m very optimistically excited. All the people that have already given us so much positive hopeβI think this is going to do really well. I just feel that people are going to love this.”
Dan Williams, owner, Karma’s Kitchen
