11 new openings in the Greater Birmingham Area including a tiki bar, Italian ice + more

New openings are happening all over town. I love Birmingham because I am always looking forward to something great coming to the city. Keep reading to know what’s headed our way.
1. East Pole
Come check out one of Birmingham’s newest coffee bars, East Pole. The shop is located in the Denham Building, next door to Monday Night Brewery. The coffee bar is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and serves delicious seasonal coffees such as the Key Lime Pie, a caffeinated beverage with graham cracker-infused oat milk.

2. Jeremiah’s Italian Ice
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is here to help us cool down from the summer heat. The Orlando-based establishment has over 90 locations across the country, and serves over 40 flavors of fresh Italian ice as well as their signature gelati and soft serve.

3. Michaels
Michaels Arts and Crafts store will be taking over the space of the former Tuesday Morning on Montclair Road in Birmingham’s Eastwood Village, according to the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ). The store will have all your needs for home decor, framing, scrapbooking, crafting and more.

4. Denim on 7th
Check this bar out! Denim on 7th will be a high-end cocktail bar in the Lakeview Entertainment District. True to its name, denim fabric can be found everywhere from the couch cushions to the walls. I know I can’t wait for a girl’s night out here.

5. Ascension St. Vincent’s Freestanding Emergency Department
Exciting news Pelham, Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital received approval from a state regulatory board to build a freestanding emergency department. Pelham residents will have access to diagnostics, emergency services and primary care services.
6. Journeys
Journeys at the Grand River Outlet in Leeds is now open. They have all your shoe needs from sneakers, sandals, accessories and more. The new location is located in Suite 626 across from Old Navy.

7. Tucana
A tiki bar serving an array of classic tiki cocktails is coming to Birmingham. I don’t think I could be any more excited about this one. Stay tuned for all the hot details.
8. Williams Sonoma
Williams Sonoma is coming back to The Summit. The store has about every kitchen essential you could need from cooking and baking tools. The fall re-opening will be perfect for holiday baking and gift needs.

9. Peterbrooke Chocolatier
Coming soon to Heights Village in Cahaba Heights is Peterbrooke Chocolatier. The chocolate company is known for its amazing American treats dipped in fine European chocolate. My favorite is the popcorn dipped in creamy milk chocolate. Keep an eye out for more grand opening details coming soon.

10. Hero Doughnuts
Hero Doughnuts is coming to Hoover this June. The newest location will be found in the Stadium Trace Village. Stay tuned for details on the official grand opening date to be announced.

11. Spring Brew
