First look at Denim on 7th, NEW bar opening in Lakeview, July 13

A new bar is coming soon to Lakeview! Denim on 7th, located in the former Coffee Lab space at 2808 7th Avenue South, STE 105, is bringing new drinks, entertainment and—of course—denim to Lakeview.

Inside Denim on 7th

To learn more about Denim on 7th, Bham Now met with a representative of CKC Holdings Group, an entrepreneurial group that owns the bar.

“We wanted to open a bar that felt like the 2023 version of Cheers—a neighborhood gathering spot where everybody knows everybody. Our name is obviously inspired by denim material. Denim is that one pair of pants that you can feel comfortable in with most situations. You can dress them up or dress them down—it’s a very versatile material. Denim on 7th is just like that—a higher-end type of atmosphere where you can come dressed up or dressed as you are.”

With Denim on 7th, CKC Holdings Group wanted to bring a higher-end cocktail bar to the Lakeview Entertainment District—perfect for date night, a girl’s night out, a birthday celebration or anything in-between.

“Craft cocktails and wines will be our speciality. We won’t have bartenders at Denim on 7th, we’ll have mixologists. We’ll have your standard cocktails as well as 15 to 20 niche, ‘Instagram worthy’ speciality cocktails. Plus, we’ll have a nice selection of wines for guests to choose from.”

Denim from Floor to Ceiling

CKC Holdings Group has paid homage to Denim on 7th’s name by decking out the bar in denim. In fact, even the couch cushions are denim! However, the most eye-catching piece of decor is the denim wall that you see as soon as you walk in.

“While I’m not a designer, I had a specific vision in mind for the space. As soon as we came up with the denim concept, I knew for a fact that I wanted a denim wall. We commissioned local artist Faith Foster to bring the denim wall to life, and she is about 95% finished with the display.”

In addition to the main gathering space, Denim on 7th will have a wine cellar / VIP room. Separated via a glass panel wall, the VIP room will have a wall of wine and can be rented out for special events, such as birthday celebrations.

BONUS: Denim on 7th will offer complimentary valet service on Thursdays and Fridays so guests don’t have to worry about finding parking.
