Immediate partners with Landing to provide earned wage access to employees
Birmingham-based short term rental service, Landing, has partnered up with Immediate, a rapidly growing startup that provides financial relief to employees across the country through earned wage access (EWA). Read on for details.
Providing financial wellness
Imagine you have access to your paycheck at all times, not just on payday. Immediate is a fintech that makes that happen through earned wage access. Landing, led by Shipt Founder Bill Smith, has partnered up with Immediate to provide more than 445 Landing employees nationwide with their paychecks, anytime.
The two startups have been wildly successful, with Immediate experiencing over 600% year over year (YoY) growth and Landing growing from nine cities to over 375 in just a few years. You may recognize Landing’s name from the recently unveiled sign in Birmingham’s skyline.
“Working with another high-growth Birmingham-based startup is exciting for us as we look forward to continued growth and expansion. Landing serves as an incubator of innovation and will drive over 800 new jobs to Alabama in the coming years. Immediate is excited to provide financial wellness benefits for those employees in the form of earned wage access.”
Matt Pierce, Founder and CEO, Immediate
Helping Birmingham thrive
Both companies make peoples lives easier, whether it be through financial wellness or flexible living. Plus, both rapidly-growing startups are led by Birmingham natives.
“In the same way Landing makes it possible for its members to reach their goals through flexible living, Immediate offers businesses the opportunity to help employees meet their unique financial needs with earned wage access. Partnering with Immediate means that our dedicated team members across the country will have even more financial freedom than ever before.”
Bill Smith, Founder & CEO, Landing
As the workforce shortage continues, many companies have been struggling to acclimate to a post-pandemic landscape. Both Landing and Immediate are working hard to solve these challenges companies are faced with. A recent survey confirmed that 80% of employees said they would prioritize an employer that offers EWA when seeking employment.
Landing is capitalizing on the surge in remote work by providing flexible living experience and freedom to move around without strict leases and security deposits. Now that they’ve partnered with Immediate, more top talent will be making their way to The Magic City.
Securing Landing as a customer takes Immediate closer to its mission of improving the financial well-being of one million American workers by 2024.
