Hoover, get excited for new home communities
On June 11, the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission approved plans to build more houses and townhomes in town, hopefully welcoming more families to the area. The final approval includes:
- 120 townhomes off the US 280 corridor
- 44 houses in Bluff Park’s Smith Farm subdivision
- 22 houses in Blackridge
Growing neighborhoods in Hoover
Dreaming of living in Bluff Park? We can understand why and so does developer Lance Kitchens of CK Enterprises, LLC. Kitchens requested the final approval for the Smith Farm subdivision. However, he doesn’t plan to build the 44 approved houses, but hopes for home builders to buy the lots. Prices for the lots are expected to be $650,000 to $750,000.
For the Blackridge community, Scott Rohrer of Blackridge Partners, LLC received approval for 22 new homes. This will be part of the sixth phase of building for the neighborhood. If you want a water view, then you lucked out. Three to eight-acre lots will be available in Blackridge along the Cahaba River.
Townhomes galore on 280
Convenience is what this new neighborhood is about. Known as Windsor Court, the City of Hoover approved 120 townhomes to be built off of 280 across from the Walmart Supercenter. Signature Homes will develop this part of the plan.
