Ride the Line was announced back in May 2022 when TWG 2022 road closure maps were released. It will serve as a free transportation service during the 10-day event. It was made possible through the partnership between the City of Birmingham, The Birmingham Organizing Committee and the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority.

Riding the Line

Vulcan and Vesta, city officials and local media enjoyed a ride on the Red Line that runs through the heart of Downtown Birmingham to SoHo Square in Homewood. Ride the Line buses are easy to spot because each is a Max Transit bus thatโ€™s been wrapped in The World Games 2022-themed vinyl. All buses will feature a radio or video screen with a welcome to Birmingham message from Mayor Woodfin and TWG 2022 theme song.ย

Nick Sellers, CEO of TWG 2022 urges the public to ride them as they will provide safe, reliable and free transportation during the event.ย
