Reading time: 4 minutes
As the summer heats up, it’s time to explore new businesses, and as always, support local. Here’s a taste of new Birmingham businesses and those coming soon.
1. Petals of Serenity | Trussville
Get a glimpse at Petals of Serenity, now located in Trussville. Formerly based in Argo, Casie Hardin Bailey was operating her local floral company out of her home. Now, they have much more space to grow as they tackle wedding season this summer. Casey focuses on elegant, bright arrangements that will have everyone asking “who made this?”
Check out some of her work on her Instagram and get a feel for some of Birmingham’s top talent.

2. Heezie’s | Crestline
Calling all decor and design enthusiasts—there’s a new spot in Crestline Village offering a mix of china, gifts, furniture, home goods, kaftans, linens, Turkish rugs, and so much more. Get ready to meet Heezie’s—named after owner Emma’s late grandmother.
She invites her customers to share in her love for color, design and gift giving with her new space. They just cut the ribbon, so go show them some opening love this week.
“My goal is to create an approachable environment where everyone can shop for items to make their lives and spaces happier. I want to help my customers celebrate everyday colorfully!”

3. Biryani Bowl | Homewood
Up next on our list of new Birmingham businesses: this cloud kitchen on Green Springs. Biryani Bowl is serving up fresh Indian food that won’t disappoint. What’s a cloud kitchen? It’s a commercial space for the use of preparing delivery meals only. Safe to say, this concept is pretty smart for restaurant owners in the 21st century.
Menu items that caught our eye include: Ulavacharu Chicken Dum Biryani, Gongura Veg Biryani and the Paneer Butter Masala, of course. Be sure to head to their website to place your order today.

4. Corbeau Wine Bar | Trussville
A full-service wine taproom is on its way to Trussville. Get ready to meet your new Wine Wednesday spot, Corbeau Wine Bar. Locally owned and operated by The Martin family, they’ll have over 45 different wines on tap for you to try.
They’re planning on opening early Fall 2022 in the Trussville Entertainment District, next to their neighbors, Ferus Ales and Trussville Social. Keep up with their progress on Instagram.

5. Salata | TBD
Good news for all of our salad lovers—Salata is coming to the state of Alabama. They’re eyeing several locations, including Birmingham. In case you haven’t heard of Salata, this Texas-based chain focuses on building salads the way you want them, with customizable toppings and sizes.
If you’re not a big fan of a bowl of lettuce, they also offer wraps. If you’re keeping track of your macros, take advantage of plugging your creation into their nutrition builder—an online tool that breaks down the facts.
Getting excited? You should see their first location in early 2023.
