They spent their opening weekend at pop-ups all around the city and they’re ready to hit the road again. 3. Jim ‘N Nicks | Alabaster
Picture this: it’s Tuesday night and you have a hankering for barbecue… but need it quickly. Meet the new concept of Jim ‘N Nicks Alabaster. It has been transformed to become a fast-casual eatery—the first of its kind as the company looks to expand further across the Southeast.
Here’s what Mike Waller, owner of Jim ‘N Nicks Alabaster, had to say about the conversion.
“The conversion to quick-casual is an exciting change we’re thrilled to see implemented at our location. I’m confident that our customers will enjoy the ease, convenience and flexibility of this new dining style while experiencing the same high-quality service, great BBQ and light-hearted, family-like atmosphere that they look forward to when dining in our restaurants.”– Mike Waller, owner, Jim ‘N Nicks Alabaster
This means a full-service bar and a faster way for guests to pick up takeout orders while maintaining convenient drive-thru and catering options, according to a recent press release.
4. June Coffee | Downtown
While we’ve been counting down the days until their opening, the team at June Coffee has been hard at work (and it shows). Get ready to meet your new favorite coffee shop—June Coffee. Located on 25th St, customers have the option of enjoying a cup of June coffee in-house or getting a bag of freshly roasted coffee to-go.
One of our Bham Now team members had the opportunity to try out June Coffee for herself. Her thoughts? She rated it a 10/10 and recommended the iced pistachio rose latte.
5. Los Bomberos Coffee Trailer
Speaking of coffee—there will soon be a new coffee truck in town. Local roaster, Los Bomberos Café, is firing up the roasters—this time, in their own trailer. This local roaster is firefighter-owned-and-operated business that takes roasting to the next level. With their products on local supermarket shelves, these two guys are looking to up their coffee game.
