On March 12, 2022, the UAB men’s basketball team won their conference (82-73) against Louisiana Tech in Frisco, Texas. This win is UAB’s sixth conference tournament title victory since the program’s creation in 1978.

- Jordan Walker (Conference USA Tournament’s Most Valuable Player): 27 points
- Michael Ertel: 15 points

The Blazers stayed ahead by 19 points towards the end of the second half with 43-24. LA Tech stepped up their game after halftime by cutting the point deficit to 10 points in the game’s final two minutes—CRAZY.
